so i just told you some good things to buy but to answer your questions:
- desktop (upgrades, price, longevity)
- quad core, forget dual cores nowadays
- performance difference between dual and triple is very low, doesn't justify -the fact of getting on 1366 which will die soon anyways
- ssd is way better than raptors, and i as i previously said some 7k2 sata 6gb/s are really good
- lcd 120hz if you can afford it, in terms of performance crt is still better but the comfort of an lcd is really superior
