But there are somethings i would like to revise "nearly impossible on the source engine without playing on the modified system where the game is actually being hosted." Maybe I'm understanding this improperly, but technically, it is unlikely that people will want, or will be able to play on the same machine. Though, if your playing on the same VLAN with a PC that can achieve over 101FPS, it will be indeed, the best performing servers someone could ever play on. I'll have to agree with eoreality being simply amazing compared to some other providers. Though, robby, exaggeration of "perfect" registration is a bit unnecessary. As there is still a possibility of people complaining your servers to have terrible reg, but thats the issue on their part. From what I've seen, some clients complain about reg, because 1. they are getting less than 100fps, so in return they are uploading less than 100ticks per second, and how does the source engine compensate? Interp. The other way around, the people with over 101fps, trying to kill the damn person, will not have the same reg as they will while playing against people with similar pings, and over 101fps. But since most people purchasing eoreality servers, do have the financial backing to have decent PC's ( more than 150 fps, Enough bandwidth to download/upload necessary packets without interp ) As to Choke and rates, i personally think that most default league configs (cevo, eco) SUCK. The rates they set, are just simply terrible. Another thing i noticed, is that 25000 rate will give you more choke than 30000, if the server box itself has enough CPU and Bandwidth to deliver the requested 30000 rate variable. Just my one cent, typed this fairly quick, it may not be all true, but just my thoughts. Note: I'm not affiliated with Robby in any way, or do I own a eoreality, but just my thoughts based off of his website, and servers that I've played on before. We call it "perfect" because from a server-side standpoint: it is.
![]() Of course there are other factors client-side that can affect registration, but assuming you have a good computer and connection to the server, you will easily be able to tell the difference.
