Default Sponsor question

Hey guys I was wondering what's the best way to get server sponsorship. I'm curious to hear how some teams got theirs. Just curious how some teams went about it. Have a good season of Cevo/esea/eco/non shitty league and explain to the server company you guys are good or what. Any help would be great! Thank you

Present yourself to the server company in a professional manner.

Inform them to why you should be sponsored and what you can bring to the table.

What have you done regarding the game you are playing?

These kinds of things are what sponsors are looking for. Sure some CALopen team can get a sponsor here and there. Usually the sponsor isn't good nor do they know who they are even sponsoring.

Working with a Game server provider for almost three years now, I've seen some pretty crazy sponsorship requests. But ultimately, you have to be willing to ACTUALLY work for a sponsorship; basically what I'm saying is, show the company that you are capable of bringing in revenue. Start off by getting, lets say, two pre-sales or something of that sort. Also, you should have a business plan written out; something in regards to what your team does/did and where you plan to go with it. Keep in mind that where ever you're sending this application to, that they are receiving another 50 emails about the same thing, so do your best to stand out. Most companies now days will not sponsor you for shit, I know that for a fact since, I personally hate sponsoring team because they dont do JACK all. Also, don't PM an @ over IRC asking about a sponsorship, rather ask them for their company email, or find it on the site and send them a .doc file; this makes you seem a little more professional. That should be it, but again, keep in mind that nothing in this world is free, you WILL have to work for it.

That's my input

Sponsorships are earned through a combination of things:
-Have an active website (1000+ active members)
-Be known and have a good record (top esea-i/cevo-p)
-Be able to sell a lot of servers
-Send a professional proposal (pdf or doc with cover letter)

***eoreality is not sponsoring unless you win cevo-p or esea-invite

Why not just pay for a server? They aren't expensive

I think EOReality should sponsor CEVO|Celone. I AM CEVO-P BABY. Not just a player, I am it and it is I!

You know, you get a free Ventrilo server when you play in a CEVO Season right? Not our tournaments, but if you pay to play in a regular season, you get a Ventrilo. We've been doing that for years now.
