Default ESEA-Invite Season 11 LAN Finals w/ Team Netcode By: caseyfoster

So im sure a lot of you guys know I went to the LAN to get team coverage with for Netcode. I got a ton of pictures and videos (a LAN Frag video is being made) that came out pretty well.

Day 1 (thursday): Myself, Joka Steve, Ghoul and Freakazoid all arrived thursday night (flights were cheaper for a few of us) and we kinda just hung out checked out the venue while ESEA was still setting up and pretty much were bored out of our minds. Not much actually happened on this day apart from us talking massive amounts of shit about ghoul and trying to get him psyched up for the LAN which he did pretty well at considering it was his first time playing CS out of his house LOL.

Day 2 (friday): So this was the first day of the actual LAN where teams would play, I think it was lower bracket matches, im not 100% on which teams played or on what maps, but there were definitely some fun and exciting matches to watch. Pretty much all teams were here by this point as you never really want to get to a LAN the day of apart from connor from Crev who's flight got delayed. Nothing too exciting for Netcode at this point as there were no matches for them to play and watching 6hours of CS isnt really the most enjoyable thing to do.

Day 3 (saturday): Game time and by game time I mean GAMETIME. Saturday was probably the most CS ive watched in one day in my entire life, ive probably never played CS that much in 1 day either so it was deff a record breaker for me. Any who, Netcode lost their first match vs zomblers to go down to lower bracket as Netcode had the 2nd seed. The post match video is posted below. Zomblers had a pretty good LAN, seems like sauce really turns it on at LAN and kind of slacks on the internet as he knows whats more important. Next set of Netcode matches was vs vVv which they ended up winning on the 3rd map to solidify a 4th place finish if they were to lose out. Post match video for this is posted as well. Next Netcode match was vs Toruqed which didnt turn out in Netcodes favor which forced them to play Dynamic as Dynamic got knocked into lower bracket by Torqued. Netcode took a rough loss to Dynamic as well to earn a 4th place finish.

Day 4 (sunday): This was finals day, Torqued vs Dynamic the two big teams at the LAN who have been pretty much going neck and neck the last few years with Dynamic coming out on top a majority of the time. Dynamic ended up winning the first set of BO3 matches being as they had to win two BO3's since Torqued had already beaten them once at the event. Turns out Dynamic is more resilient and came through with the championship in the 3rd map of the 2nd BO3. Definitely an exciting match to watch, especially as it was Volcanoes last CS match for a while as he is taking a break for his full time job.

All in all it was a great event, tons of fun and good to meet more gamers that Ive not been able to put a face to before. Also sunday got pretty messy for me and a few of the Dynamic players at the bar/hot tub with a little bit of alcohol involved lol.

Anyway, here are some of the pictures from the event in no particular order. Here is also the short montage video from LAN
